Seminary-Developing Emotional Intelligence to Reach The Bright Future in Petroleum Industry

Haloooo everybody...How are you? Is it great?
hope it would be a great day that always you have.

Oke, and now, we get in 2011, Happy New Year Guys!!! :D

For the closest event in Asia Pacific Oil and Gas Intellectual Parade 2011 is Seminary-Developing Emotional Intelligence to Reach The Bright Future in Petroleum Industry, this event will be held on Saturday, January 15th 2011.

This seminary would be given by Mr. Sugembong CF as we know that he is the Chairman of SPE Java Section Indonesia.

We all have different personalities, different wants and needs, and different ways of showing our emotions. Navigating through this all takes act and cleverness – especially if we hope to get succeed in life.

This is where emotional intelligence becomes important. Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize your emotions, understand what they’re telling you, and realize how your emotions affect people around you.

Emotional intelligence also involves your perception of others; when you understand how they feel, this allow you to manage relationship more effectively.
People with high emotional intelligence are usually successful in most things they do. Why? Because they’re the ones that others want on their team. When they need help, they get it.

Because they make others feel good, they go through life much more easily than people who are easily angered or upset.

Petroleum industry is filled by competent people. So, if we want to stand here, we must have not only skills but also emotional intelligence. That one preparing high quality of human resources especially always ready doesn’t matter what the job situation is.

Ok then, Let's join this event, it is so cheap and you will get many advantages from this event!!

Don't be late, it just only for a very limited seat!

I will wait for your coming guys!! :D

We Are in National Symposium and Congress of IATMI (Society of Indonesian Petroleum Engineers) 2010

In November 29th 2010 until December 1st 2010, IATMI (Society of Indonesian Petroleum Engineers) was held a huge event, a big event in Ballroom Grand Kempinski Hotel Indonesia, Jakarta, Indonesia.

In this event, IATMI has selected a theme that is in conjunction with a national oil production target, which is: "Toward a One Million BOPD year 2012: Opportunities, and Chalenges".

On behalf of Mr. R. Priyono as head of BPMigas in his message for this event, the national direction is for a greater effort to increase quality of talent pool, local engineering capacity and capability, as well as national share, and participation. For this reason we are challenged, but we must face it with sense of opportunity.

This event provide a gathering avenue for a greater discussion on how to overcome the challenges and bring opportunities for all of us to share, in the form of technical session, and social interactions.

The congress also decided to choose Mr. Salis Apprilian, the President Director of Pertamina EP as the new Chairman of IATMI replacing Mr. Bagus Sudaryanto for the 2 years ahead.

Nama : Salis S. Aprilian
Riwayat Pendidikan : I. S1 & S2 (Teknik Perminyakan ITB)
II. S3 (Petroleum Engineering, Texas A&M University)

Technical session, Workshop, Oil and Gas Exhibition, Workshop, and Student Gathering with Student Competition inside are events in this National Symposium.
Inviting a lot of companies and universities, IATMI tries to develop their organization into a huge organization.

In student competition, there are Plan of Development Competition, and Energy Student Competition, Trisakti took a part as the first place in both of those competitions. Then UPN B and UPN A as second and third winner in Energy Student Competition. And ITB as Second winner and UPN as Third Winner in POD Competition.

Asia Pacific Oil and Gas Intellectual Parade 2011, behind Seksi Mahasiswa IATMI UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta also took a part in this event, we were in IATMI stand in Oil and Gas Exhibition and Education day. Promote our event, and inviting a lot of people to visit Yogyakata, as a wonderful cultural city, to join Asia Pacific Oil and Gas Intellectual Parade 2011. :)

See you in Yogyakarta Guys.

Talkshow Gas and Geothermal: Chance, Investment, Policy, and Challenge in Indonesia

Asia Pacific Oil and Gas Intellectual Parade 2011 is getting closer, and the beginning of this event will be started with a kind of Talk show.

The theme of the Talk Show is “Gas and Geothermal: Chance, Investment,
Policy, and Challenge in Indonesia”.

The talk show will discuss about the challenge of development gas and geothermal energy in Indonesia from investment factor and rules made by Government of Indonesia. It is aimed to increase the knowledge of students and to find the solution from the current problems about gas and geothermal energy.

World oil demand is continuously being replaced by natural gas as alternative energy in fulfilling the world needs. Natural gas is a natural resource that consists of hydrocarbons (CnH2n+2) and the impurities such as N2, C02, and H2S. Many oil companies try to increase gas production to replace oil role while its production is decreasing.
Also in Indonesia, many oil companies are trying to improve their gas production for fulfilling the energy demands in Indonesia.
Indonesia is ranked seventh in world gas production, with proven reserves more than 112 TCF in year 2008.This rank eleventh largest in the world and the largest in Asia Pacific region. Gas reserves are equivalent to three times Indonesia's oil reserves and can supply the country for 50 years at current production rates.

Another option for the energy in Indonesia is Geothermal. Indonesia has the greatest geothermal energy potential in the world. Positioned perfectly on the Ring of Fire that circles the Pacific Ocean, the nation has an abundant source of clean, sustainable energy to complement its immense hydrocarbon and coal reserves. The Indonesian Government is fully aware of its geothermal possibilities. At the UN Climate Conference in Bali in December 2007, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, pledged to provide the right encouragement and incentives to allow geothermal power generation and heat production to grow enough to contribute 5% of the country's primary energy supply by 2015-2020.

With Asia Pacific Oil and Gas Intellectual Parade 2011, we are trying to introduce more about this energy, and understand more about their role for Indonesian's energy enhancement.
By knowing the Chance, Investment, Policy, and Challenge for those energy, especially in Indonesia and generally in Asia Pacific, hope this event will bring many benefits for all the participants.

This event is the beginning from Asia Pacific Oil and Gas Intellectual Parade 2011, we will provide a good services for all the audiences in this event, with a culture performance from traditional dancing from Yogyakarta.

Because of this event, we are really hope that, many tourists could visit Yogyakarta, after Merapi Attack in this November.

This Event will be held on December 18th 2010, in Sahid Raya Hotel Yogyakarta, Jl. Babarsari No.2, Yogyakarta.

This event will be taken by Mr. Joi Surya Dharma, he is one of Staff in Energy Commission of the Parliament and active in Energy Center.

The keynote speaker in this talkshow are:
1. Mr. R. Priyono as Head of Executive Agency for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities-bpmigas.
2. Mrs. Evita H. Legowo as Head of Dirjen Migas.
3. Mr. Bambang Setiawan as head of Dirjen Minerbapabum.
4. Mr. Abadi Poernomo as Head of Pertamina Geothermal Energy.
