SM IATMI (Society of Indonesian Petroleum Engineers)

Society of Indonesian Petroleum Engineers (IATMI) established in Jakarta on June 7, 1979 by a group of Indonesian professionals who work in the field of oil,gas and geothermal industries.

Now a days IATMI has more than 4000 members spread all over Indonesia and 12 countries around the world.

As a social organization or non profit organization, IATMI, once every three years, they held a congress to choose IATMI's Chairman, Central Board and the Advisory Council. And in 29 November-1 December 2010, IATMI will hold a big event in Jakarta, National Symposium and Congress for choosing the new Chairman, Central board, and the advisory Council. This event will be held on Kempisnki Hotel Indonesia, just visit us there. :)


Becoming an independent professional organization that always tries to improve the competences and the professionalism of their members for contributing their ability in oil, gas, and geothermal national development is IATMI's vision.

IATMI Office Center in Jakarta, Indonesia and until recently IATMI has 8 (eight) of the National Commissariat and 3 (three) Commissariat International in Houston, Texas-USA, Kuala Lumpur-Malaysia and the Middle East covering 10 countries in the Middle East.

Student chapter (SM) of IATMI UPN Yogyakarta that established in 2002, is working under Central Java and Yogyakarta Commissariat, with Mr. Sayoga Heru, the Director of ESP 175 Hati Corporation Indonesia as the Chairman of Commissariat.

SM IATMI UPN Yogyakarta is lead by Hendra Tahulending, student of Petroleum Engineering Department of UPN Yogyakarta.

In his period, IATMI has many programs like Seminary, Guest lecture from Oil and Gas professionals, Field Trip, Courses, etc.
